Description
On Öbacken hill grows tall coniferous forest. Below the western hillside there are some oaks at the edge of the wood. There grows the inedible mushroom Tyromyces fissilis, which is vulnerable according to the Swedish red list. On the southern slope of the hill, the coniferous forest continues into an enclosed pasture facing the water of the southern Bränninge bay. The pasture is grazed alternately by sheep and cattle. Among clumps of birch and hazel there is a flora which is very typical of pastures, with species like common milkwort, lesser butterfly orchid, elder-flowered Orchid, quaking grass, common rock rose, St. John's wort and saw wort. There is a path around the hill and stiles have been set up so that visitors can enter the grazed pasture.
